Floor plan

Where the walkable floor ends, computed from the zone’s own geometry in the game files, with the 1 named mob whose position is on record plotted on it. This zone has 3 levels and they overlap when flattened, so the control above isolates one at a time.

Height
Maestro of Rancor250 unitsN

A line marks the edge of the floor — a wall or a drop. Doors, locks and one-way drops are not marked, and a gap is as likely to be a ledge as a doorway. 1 of these 1 positions land on the drawn floor, which is worth stating because the coordinates and the geometry come from different sources and both have to be right for that to happen. This drawing is derived from the game’s mesh and is not a copy of any published map.

01Why you come here

02What the sources are

The same problem as Fear, with one exception that matters more than anything else on this page.

The eqlwiki Plane of Hate page was created on 27 March 2026 by P99Wiki>Permahoo, an import from the Project 1999 wiki. The Innoruuk page is older still — imported>CrazyPro, 11 April 2025, fifteen months before Legends launched. Both were maintained through July 2026 by named editors, and no edit comment describes a measurement.

The exception. The Innoruuk page carries hit points written for two difficulty tiers:

HP = 156000 (D2 Raid), 235000 (D4 Raid)

That is the only difficulty-tiered boss figure published for any plane boss anywhere we have looked, and D4 in particular is a number nobody else has. It is also not measured, not post-launch, and carries no stated method — the edits that introduced it are pre-launch beta work by two named editors. We publish it badged, and we do not build anything on top of it. Two numbers from one boss are not a scaling law.

The armour tables are the strongest material on the source page, and they have outside support: a creator farming here in August killed a rat and a haunted chest together and got a Magician wrist piece. The table puts a revultant rat at Wrist, Group 2, and Apothic is the Magician set — Group 2. The drop matches the rat exactly as written.

03Getting in: the sword or the voidling

Which object you touch at the Oasis tower decides which version of the zone you enter. This is the single most practical thing on the page.

  1. Oasis of Marr, top of the tower the black sword public instance
  2. Oasis of Marr, top of the tower the voidling raid instance — the only place Innoruuk and the Maestro exist
  3. Or a wizard Alter Plane: Hate reagent: Fuligan Soulstone of Innoruuk, 62.5pp

The two raid bosses do not spawn in the open world or in a personal instance. The 16 June patch note removed them from both. If you want Innoruuk or the Maestro of Rancor, the voidling is not one option among several — it is the only door.

There is no ordinary way out. Gate, Origin, a wizard or druid port, or die. Succor puts you back at the zone-in at −375, −354. Many mobs see through invisibility and through invisibility versus undead. T5

Lockouts are per difficulty. The weekly bonus-loot lockout resets Tuesdays at 8AM PST, and a kill made while locked still returns one guaranteed drop from the boss’s unique table. One player reports that D0 through D4 each carry their own lockout, which would mean a first clear at D0 costs you nothing at any higher tier. C Reported by Annalise, 10 August 2026, and not stated either way in the patch notes.

04The city, and the three levels underneath it

The floor plan at the top of this page is not a redrawn map. It is computed from the zone’s own mesh, and it separates into three bands that the flattened maps everyone else publishes cannot show you apart.

BandHeightFloor foundSeparate piecesWhat it is
Groundz 0 to 605,636 triangles523 The streets and the small houses. Where almost everything you want to kill stands.
The roofsz 88 to 983,329 triangles367 A thin band, ten units deep, broken into hundreds of disconnected pieces. Not a floor — the tops of the buildings and the wall.
Upperz 109 to 18710,533 triangles782 The second level, reached by the spiral staircase. More floor than the ground has.

That middle band is the one worth knowing about. Ten units deep and split into 367 separate pieces is what a set of rooftops looks like when you ask a computer where the floor is — and it is exactly the surface players are using. A creator farming here describes the technique unprompted: put levitate on, climb the nearest wall, and travel across the tops of the buildings, because mobs on the ground below will not aggro you up there. C

So Hate has three usable levels, not two: the ground you fight on, the roofs you travel on, and the upper level. Use the storey control on the plan above to look at one at a time.

Landmarks

NumberWhat is there
1Port-in
2–19, 21–28The small buildings. This is most of the zone.
20The Church
29The Organ Hall — Maestro of Rancor. This building has its own second floor.
30The spiral staircase to the upper level. The Fountain is immediately east.

Landmark numbering T5 — imported. It matches the published map images rather than anything we have walked.

An open question we are not going to guess at. This zone answers to two names in /whohateplane and hateplaneb — and the game ships a separate, much larger archive for the second. What hateplaneb is in Legends, we do not know. One /who from the upper level would settle it.

Armour table T3 — eqlwiki, maintained by editor Mazirian through 22 July 2026.

Three mob types split by gender, and they split in opposite directions. A female forsaken revenant drops Group 1 arms and a male drops Group 2. Same for the elite dragoon and Innoruuk’s Chosen — except those two run male for Group 1 and female for Group 2, the other way round from the revenant. If you are farming a slot and getting the wrong group, check the gender before you conclude the table is wrong.

a haunted chest — and a contradiction we cannot resolve

The imported page says a haunted chest can drop any planar armour, including pieces that otherwise only drop in the Plane of Fear — the mirror of Fear’s phoboplasm. T5

The only Legends-era account we have found says the opposite, flatly: “all they drop is the russet gear. That’s all they drop.” C Classic XP, 9 August 2026, farming them at D4 for a full session.

A first-hand Legends report outranks imported classic prose, so the second reading leads — but one player is not a measurement and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The likeliest explanation is that this changed for Legends, which is exactly the kind of change this site exists to catch. One logged session of chest kills settles it.

06The minibosses, and the trash they upgrade

Every miniboss here is the stronger form of one ordinary mob type, and most of them drop a specific named armour set. Read across from the trash you are already killing.

Miniboss table T5 — imported, except that Lord of Loathing is named in the 2 June 2026 patch note among bosses given Solo Raid balance changes, alongside Innoruuk, Cazic-Thule and the Maestro. So at least that one is a live Legends encounter and not an inherited name.

Two things in the source do not line up and we are flagging rather than fixing. a scorn banshee is filed as “Group a” in one table and Group 1 in another, while its miniboss drops a Group 2 set. And the same set is called both Imbrued Armor and Imbrued Platemail Armor on one page.

Both are listed with a single class. Legends raid bosses run three classes from D3, so that alone dates the table. Which kits attach to which boss at D3 and above is unpublished by anyone, and it is the largest open gap on this site.

08Levelling, plat and AA at 46+

Hate is the strongest of the three planes on paper. Nobody has published a rate, including us.

WhatWhere it comes from
ZEM 86, or 115% Zone infobox. Against 82.5 for Fear and Sky — the highest of the three.
Instances match the open world 23 June patch note. So running an instance to escape competition costs nothing, and one player reports moving to instances for exactly that reason. C
Raid bosses out of the open world 16 June patch note. What is left is trash and minibosses.
AA gain reported as strong One trash kill giving 9% of an AA, on a character with 229 AAs already banked. C One reading, no level or difficulty stated.
Loot scales with difficulty 29 July hotfix. Higher tiers roll higher, and the tier also governs what a merge is worth.

We will not publish a plat-per-hour, mote-per-hour or AA-per-hour figure until we have measured one. The only rate estimate we have found anywhere is a creator saying he “felt like” roughly one armour piece per three haunted chests, while explicitly counting nothing. C That is a feeling, honestly labelled as one by the person who said it, and we are not going to launder it into a drop rate.

09What we do not know

Open questionWhat settles it
What hateplaneb is One /who from the upper level.
Whether haunted chests drop only Lustrous Russet One logged session of chest kills. Imported prose and the only Legends account disagree outright.
Whether rats see through invisibility One invisible approach. The table says no; the one player to say anything says yes.
Whether the chest spawns are fixed Two circuits with positions noted. The creator farming them believes they are static and says outright he is not sure.
Innoruuk at D0, D1 and D3 A raid log. D2 and D4 exist only as a beta-era claim.
Which class kits bosses run at D3+A raid log at D3 or D4.
