Dungeon Survey Plate 11 · through The Feerrott, Antonica
Four armour slots, five raid targets, and a published strategy written for a different game
Where the walkable floor ends, computed from the zone’s own geometry in the game files, with the 3 named mobs whose positions are on record plotted on it. This zone has 4 levels and they overlap when flattened, so the control above isolates one at a time.
The route, in order. Dread → Fright → Terror. 1,679 units of straight-line travel. This is an order to take them in, not a path through the zone. The lines run point to point and know nothing about walls, doors, locks or drops — a segment that appears to cross a wall is the drawing being honest about what it is. It starts at the lowest-level named as a stand-in for starting near the entrance, because the zone line is not recorded for every zone.
A line marks the edge of the floor — a wall or a drop. Doors, locks and one-way drops are not marked, and a gap is as likely to be a ledge as a doorway. 3 of these 3 positions land on the drawn floor, which is worth stating because the coordinates and the geometry come from different sources and both have to be right for that to happen. This drawing is derived from the game’s mesh and is not a copy of any published map.
We check the revision history of every page we lean on. On Fear that check comes back worse than on any zone we have surveyed.
The eqlwiki Plane of Fear page was created on 9 March 2026 by P99Wiki>RibbonRMX
— an import from the Project 1999 wiki, four months before EverQuest Legends existed. The
Cazic Thule page is the same story: imported>CrazyPro, 29 March 2026. Both were
edited afterwards by named editors, and none of those edits describe a measurement.
The tell is not subtle. The published Cazic Thule strategy says, word for word:
It’s recommended to have several dozen melee and a dozen+ healers.
Legends caps a raid at 8. The same page discusses the Velious-era revamp of the zone and chain-CH healing rotations. This is not a stale page. It is a correct description of a different game, and following it here is not possible.
So this survey badges nearly everything, and the badges mean what they say. Where a figure is ours or the developers’, it prints plain.

| The floor plan below | Ours, computed from the game’s own mesh. Prints plain. |
| Armour tables T3 | Named editor, maintained through July 2026, and they list Beastlord and Berserker sets — classes Project 1999 does not have. Somebody rebuilt these for a sixteen-class game. The strongest material on the page. |
| Mob abilities and sees-invis T5 | Imported. Useful shape, unverified detail. |
| Boss stats and strategy T5 | Classic EverQuest. See section 06. |
One way in, no ordinary way out, and a welcome party that sees invisibility.
Succor and evacuate put you at −1139, 1282, the south-west corner by the zone-in. That is your reset button and it is worth knowing before you need it. There is a race line at the Feerrott portal. T5
Every ordinary mob in Fear drops planar armour for one slot and one of two class groups. Find your class, then hunt the two or three mob types that owe you.

Armour table T3 — eqlwiki, maintained by editor Mazirian through 16 July 2026.
Lustrous Russet and Midnight Clad are the two multiclass sets. One creator farming Hate describes Lustrous Russet as the plate-and-mail set and its counterpart as leather-and-cloth, which is a different axis from the Group 1 / Group 2 split above — that split says which mobs drop a piece, not who can wear it. C Unconfirmed, and worth confirming: it decides which plane you farm.
Twenty mob types. Non-raid mobs run 48–51 and the level 51s summon. There are no placeholders here, but a spawn point can hold more than one type — a spinechiller spider where you expected a scareling.

Population table T5 — imported, unverified for Legends. Backstab on a scareling is worth noting: we have measured two class kits on ordinary trash at D1 in Castle Mistmoore, so a rogue ability on a trash type is normal here rather than surprising.
Instance-only since 16 June. The roster below is confirmed by the developers; the numbers beside it are not.
The patch note of 16 June names them: Fright, Terror, Dread, a dracoliche and Cazic Thule no longer spawn in the open world or in personal instances of the Plane of Fear. That list matches the wiki’s roster exactly, so who is here is settled. Every published statistic about them is classic EverQuest.
| Named | Loc (Y, X) | Lvl | Race / class | Spawn & notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cazic Thule | not recorded | 70 | DEITY SHD |
Top of the Temple — the fourth band on the floor plan above. Raid instance only since 16 June 2026. Published at AC 400 and 450,000 HP, 2 attacks a round, 223–603 a hit. Zone-wide social aggro is confirmed by patch note — see below. Avatar Power is a top-slot dispel; Panic fears a random target. The published strategy is classic EverQuest and unusable here.T5 stats |
| a dracoliche | not recorded | 58 | DRAGON SKELETON SHD |
Wanders. Not undead, despite the model. AC 600, 175,000 HP published. Deadly Lifetap, Rotting Flesh, summons, unmezzable, uncharmable, unstunnable, unfearable. Small hitbox that melee reportedly struggle to connect with.T5 |
| Dread | -1201, -635 | 55 | GOLEM WAR |
AC 376, 32,500 HP published, max hit about 450. Cazic Touch, Scarab Storm, Enrage, summons, triple attack. The published 72-hour respawn describes an open-world spawn removed on 16 June.T5 |
| Terror | -365, 200 | 55 | GOLEM WAR |
AC 397, 32,000 HP published, 168–453 a hit. Frost Breath is a dispel and will break charm on a pet. Also a 56-point lifetap proc, Enrage, summons, triple attack.T5 |
| Fright | -358, -636 | 55 | GOLEM WAR |
Cazic Touch, Enrage, summons, triple attack. No AC, no hit points and no attack count are recorded by anyone, classic sources included, and its damage is written as “437?”. One of the five is essentially unrecorded.T5 |
| Wraith of a Shissir | not recorded | 55 | GORGON WAR |
Always level 55. Stun up to 15 seconds, summons. Carries the Head of the Serpent, an Enchanter epic component. The source spells it Shissir in one place and Shissar in another.T5 |
| Irak Altil | not recorded | 51 | SKELETON WAR |
Always level 51. Quads and summons. Named in the classic strategy as a charm target for extra damage, which is advice written for a game with different charm rules.T5 |
Coordinates are the published pair read as (Y, X). We check every coordinate on this site against the floor our own geometry draws, and the result of that check for these three is printed under the floor plan at the top of this page.
One boss mechanic here is not classic text. The hotfix of 24 June 2026 reads: “Cazic-Thule now properly calls for his minions when he is engaged in an instance of the Plane of Fear.” That is the developers confirming zone-wide social aggro, in a Legends instance. It is the only thing on this page about a boss fight that we can state flatly.
Raid bosses in Legends run three classes from D3, and every one of these is listed with a single class. That alone dates the table. Which class kits attach to which raid boss at D3 and above is unpublished by anyone, and it is the largest gap on this site.
The reputation is real and it has a mechanical basis, but nobody — including us — has published a rate.
| What | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| ZEM 82.5, or 110% | Zone infobox. The 23 June patch note also raised instanced Hate, Fear and Sky to match the open world, so an instance costs you no experience. |
| Bosses out of the open world | 16 June patch note. The zone is trash and minibosses now. |
| Loot scales with difficulty | 29 July hotfix: drops match the tier you are in, with a diminishing chance to roll higher. |
| A lockout kill is not a wasted kill | 28 July patch note: killing a raid boss while locked still gives one guaranteed drop from its unique table. |
| AA gain is reported as strong | One creator farming the Plane of Hate reports a single trash kill giving 9% of an AA. C That is Hate, not Fear, and it is one reading with no level or difficulty stated. |
We will not print a plat-per-hour or AA-per-hour figure until we have measured one. No source we have found publishes either for this zone at any difficulty. That is the opening, not the excuse: it is the first thing our own logs could settle.
One creator who has farmed both notes only that “the ads in fear can kind of get annoying” compared with Hate. C Hate also carries the higher ZEM — 86 against 82.5. If you are choosing purely on experience, Hate is ahead.
Each of these closes with one log, one screenshot or one /loc. None of
them closes by writing more prose.
| Open question | What settles it |
|---|---|
| Boss hit points at D0–D4 | A raid log. Not one figure above is Legends-era. Innoruuk in Hate is the only plane boss with difficulty-tiered HP published anywhere, and even that is a beta-era edit. |
| Which class kits attach to bosses at D3+ | A raid log at D3 or D4. The biggest gap on this site. |
| Fright’s stats | Unrecorded by anyone, classic sources included. |
| Trash respawn | Two passes through the same camp with timestamps. |
| a decrepit warder | A single /con and a look at what it drops. |
| Whether the mob levels are 48 or 49 at the low end | The source hedges it. A handful of /con readings. |
| Plat, motes and AA per hour | Our own logs. Nobody has published these. |
